Four people, including three fake women voters arrested from Jale assembly constituency of Madhubani Lok Sabha constituency, were arrested by the police from the polling station. After this the villagers attacked Jale police station and drove away the four accused from there. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, DIG Baburam of Darbhanga Range has given instructions to suspend Jale police station incharge Vipin Bihari with immediate effect, considering him guilty of negligence.
Taking action in the case, SSP Jagunath Reddy has suspended SHO Vipin Bihari and on the instructions of Kamtaul DSP Jyoti Kumari, the police raided the village last night and arrested two named accused in the case.
According to the information, three women and a young man wearing burqa had reached booth number 85 of Devra Bandhauli of Jale Assembly to vote fraudulently. The officer present at the booth handed over all four to the police after finding fake voters during investigation. After the arrest, the police kept the four accused at Jale police station, where around 12 o’clock in the night, more than 150 unknown people attacked and made the four accused, who were lodged in the police station, escape from there.
On the application of the Magistrate, an FIR was registered against four people in Jale police station regarding the matter, while in the case of driving away the four accused by attacking the police station, an FIR was registered against 24 named and 130 to 140 unidentified people. In this case, DSP Jyoti Kumari has raided the village last night and arrested two named accused, while raids are being conducted to arrest other accused.
Taking the matter seriously, DIG Baburam ordered the suspension of Jale police station incharge Vipin Bihari. The DIG said that this action has been taken against the station head for failing to take action and pacify the people who were attacking the police station.
